19. 20. 21.
There is no night without
A dawning,
No Winter without
A Spring,
And beyond deathís
Dark Horizon
Our hearts once more
will sing -
For those who leave us for
A while, have only
Gone away
Out of a restless careworn
Into a ďBrighter DayĒ

We did not see you close your eyes,
We did not see you die,
All we knew was that you were gone,
Without a last goodbye,

It was a sudden parting,
Too bitter to forget,
Only those who loved you,
Are the ones who will never forget.

The happy hours we once enjoyed,
How sweet their memories still,
But death has left a vacant place,
This world can never fill.

Your life was one of kindly deeds,
A helping hand for othersí needs,
Sincere and true in heart and mind,
Beautiful memories left behind.

Iím Free

Donít grieve for me now Iím free.
Iím following the path
God laid for me.
I took His hand
when I heard Him call,
I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day.
To laugh, to love, to work or play.
Tasks left undone
must stay that way.
I found that peace at close of day.
If my parting has left a void.
Then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss.
Ah, yes these things I too will miss.
Be not burdened
with times of sorrow,
I wish you
the sunshine of tomorrow,
My lifeís been full,
Iíve savoured much.
Good friends, good times,
a loved oneís touch.
Perhaps my time
seemed all too brief,
Donít lengthen it now
with undue grief,
Lift up your hearts
and share with me.
God wanted me now,
He set me free.

22. 23. 24.
No sacrifice would be too great,
No price too high to pay,
If only we could see you again,
If only for a day.

When last we looked upon your face,
We tried hard not to cry,
Instead, we bent over you,
And whispered you goodbye.

Our memories Daddy
will never grow old,
They are locked in our hearts in
letters of gold,
Death cannot part us
nor distance divide,
For each of our lives
you are by our side.

We thank you God
and will always be glad,
For a better father
this world has never had,
If we follow in his footsteps we can
never go wrong.

We can never forget him,
we donít even try,
We just miss him more,
as time goes by.
It was a sudden parting,
Too bitter to forget,
Those who loved you dearly,
Are the ones who canít forget.

We often sit and think of you,
And think of how you died,
To think you could not say goodbye,
Before you closed your eyes.

The blow was hard, the shock severe,
To part with one we loved so dear,
Our loss is great, weíll not complain,
But trust in God to meet again.

Two tired eyes are sleeping,
Two willing hands are still,
The one who worked so hard for us,
Is resting at Godís will.

Our family chain is broken,
Nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one,
The links shall join again.

Do not stand at my grave
and weep;
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds
that blow.
I am the diamondís glints
on snow,
I am the sunlight on
ripened grain
I am the gentle autumnís rain.
When you awaken in the
morningís hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine
at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there, I did not die.

Safely Home

I am home in Heaven, dear ones;
Oh, so happy and so bright!
There is a perfect joy and beauty
In this everlasting light.

All the pain and grief is over,
Every restless tossing passed;
I am now at peace forever,
Safely home in heaven at last.

Did you wonder I so calmly
Trod the valley of the shade?
Oh! But Jesusí love illuminated
Ever dark and fearful glade.

And He came Himself to meet me
In that way so hard to tread;
And with Jesusí arm to lean on,
Could I have one doubt or dread?

Then you must not grieve so sorely,
For I love you dearly still;
Try to look beyond earthís shadows,
Pray to trust our Fatherís Will.

There is work still waiting for you,
So you must not idly stand;
Do it now, while life remaineth -
You shall rest in Jesusí land.

Death is nothing at all -I have only slipped
away into the next room.
Whatever we were to each other, that we
are still. Call me by my old familiar name,
speak to me in the easy way which
you always used to.
Laugh as we always laughed at the little
jokes we enjoyed together.
Play, smile, think of me, pray for me.
Let my name be the household word
that it always was. Let it be spoken without
effort. Life means all that it ever meant. It
is the same that it ever was; there is absolutely
unbroken continuity. Why should I be out
of your mind because I am out of your sight?
I am but waiting for you, for an interval,
somewhere very near, just around the corner.
All is well. Nothing is past; nothing is lost.
One brief moment and all will be as it was
before - only better, infinitely happier and
forever - we will all be one together
with Christ.

The Memorare
Remember, O most gracious
Virgin Mary, that never was it
known that anyonewho fled to
thy protection, implored thy help,
Or sought thy intercession, was
left unaided. Inspired with this
Confidence I fly unto thee, O
Virgin of Virgins, my Mother, to
thee I come; before thee I stand,
sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of
the Word Incarnate, despise not
my petitions, but in thy clemency
hear and answer me. Amen.

Miss Me -But Let Me Go

When I come to the end of the road,
And the sun has set on me,
I want no rites in a gloom filled room,
Why cry for a soul set free?

Miss me a little but not too long,
And not with your head bowed low,
Remember the love that we once shared,
Miss me - but let me go.

For this is a journey we all must take,
And each must go it alone,
Itís all part of the masterís plan,
A step on the road to home.

When you are lonely and sick of heart,
Go to the friends we know,
And bury your sorrow
in doing good deeds,
Miss me - but let me go.
